POSITION: Quality Assurance Manager
What you’ll do:
Inspection & Measurement:
Inspect machine components of various sizes using general machine shop inspection tools (i.e. micrometer, height stand, caliper).
Operate equipment such as CMM and micro-hite inspection tools; willing to train on these systems.
Sample in-process components to ensure they meet engineering specifications.
Inspect final components against customer drawings, specifications, and procedures.
Authority & Problem Resolution:
Stop machine operations if defective parts are produced to prevent further issues.
Work with other departments to resolve machining or quality problems and ensure proper flow of production.
Calibration & Incoming Inspection:
Manage calibration programs that monitor and control production and QC gauges.
Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components to ensure quality.
Compliance & Process Support:
Support Quality Assurance activities, including internal/external audits and source inspections.
Follow company processes and procedures to comply with ISO and AS9100D standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
Perform time estimates for programming CMM and other inspection tasks.
Document and plot inspection data on a computer system.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need:
Education & Experience:
Associates or Bachelors Degree in related field preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in machine shop or job shop environment.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with AS9100D standards and compliance.
Robust knowledge of GD&T, blueprint, and specification interpretation.
Ability to use all standard inspection hand gauging tools (micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, Vernier calipers, height gauges, internal/external thread gauges, ID/OD mics, bore gauges, etc.).
Mathematics & Coordination:
Strong understanding of basic shop math, including trigonometry and geometry, to verify setups and part dimensions.
Experience in coordinating the inspection planning of jobs.
Teamwork & Leadership:
Ability to work with machinists and engineers in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills, good judgment, and the ability to motivate team members.
Willingness to teach and help improve the skill sets of others.
Additional Skills:
Computer experience for documenting and plotting inspection data.
Organizational skills, effective communication, and reporting capabilities.
Familiarity with ITAR compliance, ANSI, CAD/CAM is a plus.
Other Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older.
Must pass background investigation and drug test.
Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
