About us: Polynesian Adventure is the premier operator of sightseeing tours and private transportation in Hawai`i. We offer charter and tour services to the most sought-after locations in the Hawaiian islands, including breathtaking Haleakala and Road to Hana tours on Maui.


Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales Manager to sell sightseeing tours and activities to hotel concierges, online travel agencies (OTAs), and travel agents. This role requires an independent and results-driven professional who can manage relationships, grow sales, and represent our brand across the islands.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Activity partners, Desk Agents, OTAs, and travel agents to promote and sell our tours and activities.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to clients across the four main Hawaiian Islands, requiring frequent travel.
  • Identify new business opportunities and implement strategies to expand our market presence.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and promotional materials tailored to the needs of each client.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of our product offerings and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Utilize CRM software to manage leads, client accounts, and sales activities, ensuring all interactions and updates are documented.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales reports, market feedback, and forecasts to management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and promote our services.


Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to manage accounts and track sales activities.
  • Competence in using email, Microsoft Office, and presentation tools.

Travel:

  • Must be willing and able to travel frequently across the islands, with occasional trips to attend mainland events if necessary.

Other:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Hawaii tourism market and experience working with hotel concierges, OTAs, or travel agents.
  • A passion for travel and a strong understanding of sightseeing tours and activities.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • Proven success in outside sales, preferably in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.


Skills:

  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing your schedule and priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional reporting and organizational skills.
