Pier Staff - Kauai

Polynesian Adventure Tours is seeking a reliable and experienced On-Site Representative to support our Cruise Department at various piers. This position is exclusively for Pier Staff and requires working one day per week for four hours. The On-Site Representative will coordinate pier operations, relay information, and ensure smooth communication between cruise staff, drivers, and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main point of contact between the Cruise Department, pier staff, and transportation teams.
• Gather and relay necessary information for all pier operations.
• Maintain smooth communication with base dispatch, drivers, and cruise representatives.
• Ensure high-quality customer service and efficient operations.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

• Must be available one day per week for a 4-hour shift.
• Strong knowledge of the local area, including roads and landmarks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, friendly, and able to work effectively with pier staff and transportation teams.
• Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and handle multiple situations.
• Position requires frequent standing and walking. Occasionally may lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to obtain an Airport Greeter Badge as well as a TWIC card to work at harbors. Both of these require background checks conducted by the Federal Government.
