What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cultural Ambassador - Islands of Hawaii - FT position at Polynesian Cultural Center?
Description
Promotes and advertises the uniqueness of the Polynesian Cultural Center by providing interesting and exciting demonstrations of high skill and cultural expertise, as well as being able to verbally communicate in an effective, engaging manner. Demonstrates and teaches cultural knowledge and skills which are complex and difficult to master, ensuring authenticity whenever possible, and acting as the protocol officer for the assigned culture.
Essential Functions :
- Presents the culture as authentically as possible to visitors, through demonstrations, lectures and performances in a highly engaging and informative manner.
- Works with management to apply cultural knowledge and skills which are complex and difficult, to enhance co-worker's knowledge and skill level.
- Participates in local, national and international marketing and public relations events to promote the Polynesian Cultural Center.
- Provides general maintenance, custodial and grounds keeping of work area.
