Job Responsibilities This position leads and coordinates the plant's Quality Management System to ensure compliance with all quality certifications. Technical support for Environmental, Health & Safety requirements is also provided.
The key responsibilities include ensuring process conditions are monitored and controlled for product consistency. Products and process changes must be made according to specified conditions. A sound quality management system must be implemented and maintained. All testing must be carried out in accordance with Avient Lab Performance Policy, and product grading must be accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
This role represents the plant and Avient in professional dealings with customers, the technology community, and the commercial group. Investigation and corrective action on customer complaints are coordinated. Training needs are assessed and provided to production employees. Technical support is offered regarding OSHA regulations, state environmental regulations, and federal DOT regulations.
Regulatory permits are obtained and maintained. Applicable regulatory reports are reviewed and prepared, and supporting documentation is maintained. The Industrial Hygiene Monitoring Program for the plant is managed. EH&S audits are developed and conducted, and documentation is maintained. Raw material review boards are maintained, and regulatory issues are kept current.
