Drafter – Engineering Department

Polypack, a worldwide leader in end-of-line packaging machinery solutions, is currently accepting applications for the position of Drafter at our Pinellas Park, FL global headquarters.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SolidWorks Drafter who is fast and accurate in creating SolidWorks Parts/Assemblies and functions effectively in a team-based environment. Drafters will work closely with Lead Engineers to create, modify and update 3D SolidWorks models and assemblies and work with manufacturing to ensure parts may be produced correctly and comply with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to produce accurate designs and technical documents.
• Update and maintain project drawings and documentation throughout the design phase.
• Ensure that all drawings comply with company standards, project requirements, and applicable codes.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve design issues and implement revisions.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings and designs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Organize and manage a centralized repository for all drafting files and records.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or certification in drafting, CAD, engineering technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce highly accurate work.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience as a Drafter in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations (e.g., ANSI, ASME, ISO standards).

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

• Mechanical engineering: 3 years (Preferred)
