Leader of the multi-disciplinary engineering and maintenance team. Supports production through evaluating manufacturing and maintenance processes and identifying areas for improvement. Functions as a technical resource to production and assists with troubleshooting equipment and process related defects. Supports the design of new equipment and modifications to existing equipment from small to large scale projects. Create project schedules for the implementation of new designs and equipment modifications with both maintenance personnel and external contractors. Responsible for supporting the startup of new equipment and implementation of new production areas. Guides and mentors team members.
- Assists with creation 3D models of equipment utilizing CAD software and creates or approves engineering drawings for manufacturing.
- Create detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflows.
- Manages projects to ensure timelines, budget, and deliverables are met.
- Identifies and implements cost saving measures in production.
- Supports production through implementation of process control measures.
- Identifies areas in need of improvement and drives their implementation.
- Troubleshooting of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Supports implementation of testing measures, R&D projects, and live line trials of new methods.
- Documents processes and creates standard work documents, SOP, and instructions.
- Reviews staff performance and provides guidance and feedback.
- Balances workload of staff to ensure efficient operation.
- Creates robust PM schedules for production and supporting equipment to ensure maximized uptime and throughput.
