Construction Superintendent

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from beginning to end. Initially, the project will involve overseeing earthwork, underground utilities, dredging, excavation and filling, roadway paving and grading primarily by subcontractors in combination with a few POMA employees on a 110 master planned, permit ready, industrial development. The project will evolve to building a turn key site for a related POMA precast company, some spec warehouses, workforce housing, and design built buildings for a handful of customers who have reserved lots for purchase.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

**Responsibilities:**

- Manage all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation

- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and vendors

- Oversee layout and monitor progress of dredging, filling, and roadway activities.

- Coordinate 3rd party engineering inspections and testing.

- Monitor and ensure compliance with building and safety regulations

- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and quality control

- Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and estimates

- Review construction schematics and blueprints for accuracy

- Implement effective budgeting strategies to control project costs

- Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the construction process

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, or;

- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role

- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft 365 (Word & Excel)

- Knowledge of construction estimating and budgeting techniques

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
