An exciting career awaits you at Pomerene, we are looking for a several LPNs and MAs to join our team at Pomerene Medical Group.
The nurse assigned to the PMG will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe, timely, effective, quality, age appropriate, culture appropriate, cost conscious, evidenced based care while utilizing the nursing process and holistic patient care. This includes, but is not limited to, obtaining patient vitals, charting, assessments, ordering tests, administering medications, drawing blood, EKG's, giving vaccinations, educating patients and calling in prescriptions. The LPN utilizes the nursing process to provide nursing care on an individualized basis according to organizational policies and procedures. As nurses we will provide clinical leadership for patient care. Within the level of the nurse's qualifications, may be assigned to work in other clinics based on patient census and staffing needs.
Essential Functions
- Moves throughout the facility as needed, appropriately assists in emergency drills and situations, and demonstrates the physical, clinical, and professional capacity to provide direct patient care as described in the tasks and duties of this position.
- Performs nursing duties at Health Professionals of Holmes County within appropriate scope of practice under the direction of the physician/provider.
- Provides appropriate patient and family education.
- Performs clerical/administrative tasks and duties as needed.
- Works cooperatively with unit staff, physicians/providers and ancillary departments.
- Maintains high standards for professional nursing practice.
- Performs all tasks and duties of this position according to department policy and procedure.

Education and Experience
- Completion of an Accredited Practical Nursing Program- Required for LPN.
- 1-3 Years of Experience in a Healthcare/Medical setting as an LPN or LVN- Preferred.
- Valid State of Ohio LPN Licensure- Required for LPN.
- BLS Certification- Required (May be obtained during orientation period).
