Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Aurora, IL. This is a long-term onsite opportunity where you will provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance for end-users in a corporate environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site field support, including installation, servicing, and repairing IT systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices (phones & tablets), peripherals, and accessories.
- Resolve software issues related to Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and other corporate applications.
- Manage Microsoft patching, corporate software deployments, and group policies troubleshooting.
- Build and reimage corporate-issued PCs, including performing necessary upgrades for optimal performance.
- Diagnose LAN/WAN network issues, understanding TCP/IP, VPN, wireless technologies, and secure access methods.
- Execute IMACD (Install, Move, Add, Change, Dispose) activities within established SLAs.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring clear and effective communication with end-users and IT teams.
- Document all troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and case notes in English within designated reporting systems.
- Maintain and manage IT inventory as required.
Required Qualifications:
- 8 – 10 years of experience in a corporate IT support role.
- Strong expertise in hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, and Teams.
- Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VPN, LAN/WAN, and wireless technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of users.
- Experience working within SLAs and IT service management frameworks.
