Job Description As a Parts Counter and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting in supporting the parts counter at the shop location and managing the incoming and outgoing shipments of agricultural equipment, supplies, and products. This role involves ensuring accurate documentation, efficient handling of goods, and maintaining inventory records. You'll work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to coordinate shipments and maintain a smooth workflow within the warehouse. This position will report directly to the Procurement Manager.
The primary responsibility of the candidate will be ultimately up to the Procurement Manager, but some duties may include:
· Receive incoming shipments of agricultural equipment, parts, and supplies. Inspect deliveries for accuracy and damages and verify quantities against purchase orders or invoices. Report any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
· Organize received items, label them accurately, and allocate them to designated storage locations within the warehouse. Update inventory systems to reflect received items.
· Coordinate outgoing shipments of agricultural products, equipment, and supplies by picking the required products from inventory and preparing them for shipment or delivery.
· Properly store products in designated areas within the warehouse to maximize space and ensure efficient retrieval.
· Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Follow proper handling and storage guidelines for hazardous materials, if applicable.
· Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move and transport goods within the warehouse safely.
· Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory transactions. Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and filed appropriately.
· Assist in supporting the parts counter at the shop location, ensuring accurate inventory control, processing orders, and providing support to technicians and customers with parts and supplies as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
· Familiarity with agricultural equipment and supplies is advantageous.
· Proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to lift heavy objects and operate material handling equipment safely.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
· Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
