Pomona Unified School District seeks Elementary Classroom Teachers for our District located in Pomona, CA.
In dual language immersion program (DLIP) - Mandarin, teach all subjects appropriate for elementary school (grades K-5) using courses adopted by the Board of Edu. Instruct students in global citizenship, bi-lingual comm., other elements. Prep. standards of expected student progress, strategies for meeting them, means for eval. Estab maintain standards of student behavior. Provide appropriate individualized small group instruction to meet needs of students. Admin. assessments in accord. w / state, district, school testing progs. Maintain admin. record of students' achievement attendance. Participate in planning development of DLIP. Participate in in-service education activities. Identify student needs cooperate w / professionals to help assess solve students' problems. Hold parent-teacher meetings to interpret school program individual progress. Select use resources learning material provided by the district. Plan coord. work of assigned aides other paraprofessionals. Sponsor and / or supervise student activities participate in faculty committees. Supervise out-of-classroom activities. Will undergo background check, fingerprinting, and reference check. Salary range is $53,289.00 - 117,869.00 annually.
Must have Bachelor's degree in any field, and hold (or be eligible for) rel California teaching credential. Must also be fluent in Mandarin (Traditional and Simplified).
