Accounts Payable Manager Summary: This position will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities and overseeing the accounts payable process within Pompeian’s organization. The primary focus is to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing a small accounting team to ensure all financial obligations are reconciled in a timely manner. This position will report to the Corporate Controller with relationships spanning throughout the Pompeian team. The role is offering a hybrid schedule, 3 days in the office, 2 days remote and is based in Baltimore Pompeian HQ at 4201 Pulaski Highway Baltimore, Maryland 21224.
Accounts Payable Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or institution or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience with the Accounts Payable function
- 3 years of experience in supervisor role a must
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or other organization managing inventory
- Manufacturing industry preferred
- Experience with foreign supply chain heavily preferred
- Ability to problem solve issues and reprioritize the team based on internal stakeholder’s needs
- Evidence of strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, sound judgement, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task in a high-paced, results-oriented environment, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Able to work independently and with the accounting team to drive superior results
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including strong excel skills
- Navigate and operate efficiently within a large ERP, such as M3

Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all AP and Cash Disbursement functions including appropriate approval and GL coding of invoices and all disbursements
- Maintain all Supplier Master records in ERP system
- Initiate weekly disbursement runs with various payment methods
- Verify international supplier banking details and initiate Cash Against Document payments on demand as needed
- Track Prepayments against blanket POs
- Lead the ongoing review of open POs to close
- Review supplier credit terms and limits and make suggestions for procurement and Corporate Controller
- Own the Accounts Payable subsidiary ledger and Goods Received Not Invoiced ledgers and reconciliations to GL
- Ensure that vendor files are maintained, and supplier agreements and COIs are current
- Assist with volume related invoice entry or vacation coverage
- Assist in reviewing that receipts of goods are done in accordance with incoterms
- Assist with cash flow reporting and cash management as needed
- Lead Supplier Financial Review Process while partnering with Quality review
- Lead the AP team in assisting with internal and external audits and other compliance examinations
- Provide regular feedback to the Corporate Controller for all procedures and controls
- Ensure all projects comply with environmental regulations, and company environmental goals
- Perform duties and tasks per Pompeian’s mission, goals and core values
