What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slot Operations Manager position at Ponca City Development Authority?
Responsibilities and Duties:
- General knowledge of casino rules, procedures and regulations pertaining to Slot operations
- Must possess strong money handling and documentation skills
- Ensure slot machine performance through preventative maintenance and evaluation of reports on machine performance.
- Ensures that the highest possible standards of guest services and employee relations are maintained and carried out in fair and equitable manner.
- Must have knowledge of all Tribal, State and Federal regulations governing slot machines and their operation
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team across departments and levels of management
- Provides input to CEO and department heads concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention
- Conducts investigations into the resolution of variances to ensure compliance with property policies and employee integrity levels.
- Maintains current knowledge of gaming regulations under Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS) Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and policy and procedures.
- Initiates and maintains communication with subordinates, employees, management, and other departments.
- Implementing the protection and loss prevention philosophies of the CEO
- Ensures internal control procedures and structures to safeguard company assets
- Analyze machine and gaming performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis and make recommendations to the CEO
- Provide quality assurance on all new installations, construction, maintenance, and correct any deficiencies that are recognized
- Maintains a professional work environment with customers and vendors
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and guests
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
- Attend all meetings when requested

- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations
- Be courteous and professional at all times to co-workers, customers, vendors or anyone you may have contact with while on duty.
- Position may require working nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Must wear your gaming badge at all times while on duty or conducting company business
