Assists in loan loss mitigation and recovery activities.
Responsibilities
Performs various duties to support the collection function; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the collection function; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.
Essential Functions
1. Locates and notifies customers of delinquent accounts by mail or telephone to solicit payment.
2. Composes status reports and action plans on distressed loans.
3. Records information about financial status of customers and status of collection efforts.
4. Recommends loan restructures and modifications to senior management as appropriate.
5. Assists in the analysis of borrower’s financial documents to assess repayment capabilities; presents this information to management.
6. Generates weekly delinquency reports.
7. Creates files for foreclosures.
8. Engages appropriate internal personnel as well as external individuals (i.e. loan officers, attorneys, insurance brokers, and appraisal companies) to assist with collection efforts.
9. Creates log of construction projects; monitors and schedules inspections as necessary.
10. Creates and maintains loan funding/advance log with appropriate details.
Ancillary Functions
1. Assures adherence to Bank policies and procedures and federal and state regulatory requirements.
2. Provides cross-functional support to other areas of the department and the Bank where service or assistance is needed.
3. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

• Clearly communicates in English;
• proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills;
• proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills;
• proficient knowledge of commercial and/or real estate loan collections, including related legal process;
• moderate PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Physical Demands
The physical and related demands described in this section are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job is mostly sedentary in nature, but may occasionally involve lifting files and other materials that weigh up to 20 lbs. Employees in this job must be able to work in an office environment during regular business hours where they come into regular and frequent contact with internal and external customers and other members of the public. Therefore, employees in this position are expected to have consistently positive interactions with the public.
