About The Position
We are searching for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience in selling architecture, engineering, and construction management services within the pharmaceutical industry. This role focuses on generating new business from pharmaceutical manufacturing clients across the United States. The projects you work on will span multiple markets and geographies, providing the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and deepen your skill set related to design projects.
In this position, the successful candidate will work autonomously to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, leveraging their understanding of the Pharmaceutical industry. You will work closely with leadership, providing updates on pursuit strategies, status, and fiscal performance. You will be expected to communicate effectively with executive teams and package and present Pond's services and technical expertise to prospective clients. Your entrepreneurial mindset will be key in analyzing the market, prioritizing opportunities, and driving growth. While working remotely is an option, you will need to travel to Pond's offices and client locations as needed to ensure successful collaboration with the Engineering and Management teams.

Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, with 8 years of related sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical production or A/E/CM services for the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Strong ability to work within a team environment, maintaining a positive attitude and being self-motivated to produce high-quality work.
- Executive communication skills, with the ability to keep leadership updated on pursuit strategy, status, and fiscal performance.
- Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Deep understanding of the services and technical expertise Pond offers, with the ability to package and effectively communicate those offerings to prospective clients.
- Entrepreneurial mindset to analyze the market and identify and prioritize business opportunities.
- A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client interactions and coordination with internal teams.
