About the Position
We are searching for an experienced Electrical Systems Studies Discipline Director to join our growing team of Energy Professionals. The ideal candidate possesses 10 years of related experience and is eager to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this role, you will support the Electrical System Studies program for clients across the United States, with projects spanning multiple markets and geographies, offering opportunities to broaden your knowledge and deepen your skill set in design projects. As the Electrical Systems Studies Discipline Director, you will lead teams of electrical engineers, overseeing electrical system studies and analysis. You will provide guidance on system study services, departmental standards, and policies, driving growth and improvement within the team through technical training, innovations, and the adoption of new tools and software. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, collaborating directly with technical leads to gather data, clarify project execution, and review comments. You will also oversee engineering deliverables such as contract documents and project studies, ensuring projects are completed within budget, schedule, and quality requirements. By coordinating with internal teams and other disciplines, you will help drive successful project execution. In addition, you will assist with business development efforts by providing technical information for proposals, attending conferences, and participating in industry committees. We are seeking a self-starter who is proactive in identifying and resolving project issues, eager to contribute to the continued success of our Electrical Systems Studies program.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, Master's Degree encouraged
Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred
10 Years of experience in related electrical system studies
Experience delivering multiple engineering system studies projects simultaneously
Familiarity with PSS E, PSCAD, CYME, ETAP, SKM, or other power systems software
Experience with advanced technical studies, such as, steady-state power flow analysis, dynamic power flow analysis, short circuit analysis, contingency analysis, optimal power flow, voltage stability, transient stability, harmonics, time series power flow, voltage drop, and overcurrent device protection for generation and renewable sources
Experience working with Independent System Operators and their associated requirements Demonstrated ability to discuss project findings with the client and present results to the industry at conferences
Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work
Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
Salary : $117,400 - $153,400
