About the Position
Pond is seeking an experienced Piping Designer to join our growing Energy team in either of the following offices: Tampa, FL; Peachtree Corners, GA; The Woodlands, TX: Denver, CO. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects within the Energy sector, including midstream terminal facilities, processing plants, and both commercial and military fueling systems. As a Piping Designer, you’ll be responsible for creating detailed 3D CAD models and drawings while collaborating closely with the Mechanical and Process Engineering teams. A solid understanding of P&IDs, piping/equipment layout, and isometrics is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and produce 3D models and drawings for mechanical piping and equipment, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
Develop P&IDs and PFDs under the direction of a lead engineer.
Create and maintain piping specifications based on specific project needs and requirements.
Uphold company design and drafting standards to ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment while meeting project deadlines and quality expectations.
Qualifications:
5 years of relevant experience in piping design within the Energy sector.
Proficiency with industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD Plant3D, CADWorx, or similar.
Strong ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Exceptional multi-tasking abilities, with a strong focus on producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Eagerness and ability to continuously learn and grow professionally within the mechanical design field.
Salary : $65,600 - $83,100
