About the Position
We are searching for a Mid to Senior-level Electrical Engineer to join our growing Professional Design Services team in Honolulu, HI. This role primarily supports federal facilities projects, focusing on Department of Defense (DoD) facilities across the Pacific region. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of MEP engineering experience, including internship and professional work. In this position, you will lead electrical design for federal facilities, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and security requirements. You will provide technical expertise in power distribution, lighting systems, fire alarms, and security systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept through construction. Additionally, you’ll review designs, manage schedules and budgets, and mentor junior engineers. While a PE license is preferred, candidates who have passed the PE exam and are awaiting licensure will be considered. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to DoD and military installations projects while ensuring designs meet federal regulations and safety codes.
Experience and Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
10 years of experience in electrical engineering, including both internship and professional experience, with a focus on MEP systems design
PE License preferred, or passage of the PE exam with licensure anticipated in the near future
Proficient with relevant software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM, with experience in electrical system modeling and design
Strong knowledge of federal and DoD codes, standards, and requirements for electrical systems and infrastructure
Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work
Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
Salary : $100,800 - $130,300
