We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer specializing in gas compression and pump systems to join our team. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the design, analysis, installation, and optimization of gas compression or pumping equipment. This role requires expertise in rotating equipment, pipeline systems to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
Design & Engineering:
Develop and optimize gas compression and pump systems, including centrifugal, turbine, reciprocating, and screw compressors.
Conduct mechanical design calculations, stress analysis, and performance evaluations for pumping and compression systems.
Select appropriate materials, components, and technologies to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
Project & Execution:
Lead engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, and process engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
Prepare technical specifications, design reports, and engineering documentation.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, OSHA, etc.).
Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs.
Work closely with environmental team for regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to environmental and operational guidelines.
Vendor & Client Relations:
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to evaluate new technologies and equipment.
Provide technical guidance to clients, stakeholders, and project teams on mechanical engineering solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on gas compression, pumping, or rotating equipment.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, turbines, and associated systems).
Knowledge in engineering software such as ANSYS, AutoCAD, and MATLAB.
Familiarity with pipeline hydraulics, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
Knowledge of industry standards (API 618, API 619, API 610, ASME B31.3, etc.).
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with midstream and upstream oil & gas applications.
Background in condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and predictive maintenance.
Knowledge of digital tools and automation in gas compression and pump systems.
Salary : $143,450 - $179,500
