Pond Crew Member

• Purpose: To assist landscape, hardscape, lawn, garden, and pond crews with various projects, as needed.
• Responsibilities: This is an entry level position with the Groundskeeper. General laborers work on a variety of projects depening upon the project needs of various crews. This position will provide general training and instruction for many different aspects of this industry. Most often upon evaluation, general laborers will perform best on a certain crews and may solidify themselves into permanent roles with a specific crew; more technical training can be attained once a working interview evaluation has been met and/or exceeded.

• Location: Crescent, Iowa with daily travel to residences and businesses in the Omaha metro area

• At minimum all applicants must have a valid driver’s license. Applicants must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions and must be able to stoop, stand, crouch, and balance with a high degree of mastery.
• Applicants must be able to use hand tools including but not limited to edging spades, roundpoint shovels, soft and hard rakes, pruning shears, handsaws, hedge or brush trimmers, axes, amongst an array of other power equipment (pole saws/trimmers, chainsaws, etc.) as needed for specific jobs. Other tools such as wheelbarrows, ball carts, sledge hammers, and levels, tampers, water pumps and plumbing, amongst others, may also be used.
• Other necessary skills and work styles include but are not limited to the following: active listening, critical thinking, and dependability, attention to detail, cooperation and self-control.
• All applicants will be required to participate in snow and ice control for residential and/or commercial properties during the winter.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
