Company Overview
- Purpose: Maintain outdoor ponds and water features on a scheduled basis. Install new pond and other water features.

- Location: Crescent, Iowa with daily travel to residences and businesses in the Omaha metro area

- Requirements: Minimum 2 years previous experience OR certification in aquaculture, aquatic biology or similar preferred
- $1,000 Hiring Bonus
- At minimum all applicants must have a valid driver’s license. Applicants must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions. Applicants must be able to stoop, stand, crouch, balance and exhibit manual dexterity and dynamic strength with a high degree of mastery.
- Previous knowledge of water chemistry, pond installations and maintenance, including but not limited to pumps, filters, liners, fountains , algaecides, etc. preferred
- Knowledge of aquatic life including fish and aquatic plants preferred.
- Knowledge of pond engineering a design
- An ability to problem solve for solutions for pond installations and maintenance.
- Other necessary skills and work styles include but are not limited to the following: active listening, critical thinking, dependability, attention to detail, cooperation, spatial recognition, time management, and self-control
- All applicants must participate in snow and ince control for residential and commercial properties in the winter
- Tasks:
- Trouble shoot issues relating to leaks, power, pumps, filters, aquatic life
- Weed, install, and fertilize aquatic plants. Net out debris in pond water. Clean debris, leaves, trash from pumps, intakes. Net out/treat algae infections in pond water.
- Install new pond and water features according to design metrics. Manipulate various soil compositions to create strong foundations for these ponds and water features.
- Install various pumps and plumbing specific to each water feature or pond
- Utilize water chemistry tests and treat any issues effectively and efficiently
- Work alongside landscape technicians and hardscape technicians to enhance the total overall design for clients
- Apply knowledge of design principles to reinforce resilience (i.e., knowledge of proper design for drainage)

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team at Pond Doctors & The Groundskeeper. This role is essential in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our clients' landscapes, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including lawn care, tree trimming, and groundskeeping activities.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment for landscape maintenance and irrigation tasks.
- Assist in snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access for clients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment used on job sites.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
- Good physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
