Job Description: We are looking for a Communications Technician to join our Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for telecommunications and a strong commitment to respect for both team members and customers. You will be part of a company that is shaping the future of connectivity and empowering communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install fiber-to-the-home, fixed-wireless, and traditional copper-plant services at customer premises and key locations within the network (e.g., Central Offices, Remote Terminals, Aerial Splice Points, and more).
- Perform routine maintenance on low-voltage electrical devices, ensuring they remain in good working condition.
- Complete necessary electronic paperwork to ensure accurate customer records and proper documentation after installations and work activities.
- Safely use and operate test sets, motor vehicles, electronic devices, and construction tools such as drills, grinders, and wrenches.
Qualifications/Technical Requirements:
- Basic understanding of AC/DC systems.
- Eagerness to learn and share knowledge and skills with the team.
- Ability and willingness to work indoors and outdoors, with comfort working at heights (in a bucket truck and on a ladder).
- Knowledge of safe work practices and the ability to ensure tasks are completed safely every day.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a Class C vehicle (with the desire to obtain a Class A license).
- Comfortable using a computer and other technical test equipment daily.
