Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tool and Die Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies (male and female), cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and molds - primarily for manufacturing rubber components. These tools are essential for cutting materials such as metal and rubber.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of machining techniques, computer-aided design (CAD) software proficiency, and operating CNC machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool Design: Use CAD software to develop blueprints for tools, dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
  • Tool Fabrication: Create precision tools and dies by machining, shaping, and assembling parts from various metals and plastics.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing tools and dies to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
  • Testing & Quality Control: Test tools and dies for proper function, accuracy, durability, and quality standards and customer specifications.
  • CNC Operation: Operate CNC machines to produce high precision tools, dies, and components based on CAD designs.
  • Material Handling: Choose the appropriate materials for each project based on strength, durability, and functional requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, machinists, and production teams to ensure tools meet the specifications and requirements for ongoing manufacturing processes.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and maintain a safe and organized workspace.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for designing tools and dies.
  • Highly skilled in operating CNC machines and machining tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training preferred.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with 3D CAD software.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of male and female tool design.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while working with machinery.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Wire EDM.

Salary : $40 - $50
