Outreach Specialist

Job Summary
The Outreach Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering community engagement and promoting public health initiatives. This position involves developing and implementing outreach programs, educating the community about health resources, and building relationships with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for social work, with the ability to effectively communicate and inspire others.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote public health initiatives within the community.
• Conduct educational workshops and presentations to inform the public about available health resources.
• Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and community groups to enhance program visibility and participation.
• Travel within the local community to engage and provide education to members in a home setting.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, participant engagement, and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, or a related field is preferred, high school diploma required.
• Experience in fundraising, program development, or public health initiatives is highly desirable.
• Strong public speaking skills with the ability to educate diverse audiences effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for data collection and reporting.
• A passion for community service and improving public health outcomes is essential.

This role is telephonic and field outreach, ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling within a 30 mile radius and have reliable transportation. (Richmond local travel)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
