Ponte Family Estate Winery opened in 2003 and is a California based company operating in the heart of the Temecula Wine Country. We have been farming our vineyards since 1984 and are a real working winery, growing and producing over 20 estate grown varietals within certified sustainable facilities.
We are located right next to our Four Diamond, 90 room, boutique hotel Ponte Vineyard Inn, and are surrounded by 300 acres of mature vineyards and views of rolling hills. We are a short drive from most of Southern California and enjoy hosting folks who want a break from city life. Our guests visit us seeking a relaxing day or overnight stay in the country.

Summary:
The Reserve Room Server will provide our Wine Club members with a wonderful “Day in the Country” experience by being gracious and respectful hosts.
Compensation: Guaranteed base hourly of $16.50 - earn up to $40.00 hourly based on performance!
**Compensation beyond the guaranteed based hourly rate is earned from tips and commissions which are not guaranteed, but possible as shown by some of our current associate paychecks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Explain the tasting process and the various wines to the guest before they have to ask.
- Pour six tastings per wine club member or guest while carrying on a friendly conversation. Watch for signs of intoxication ensuring guest safety.
- Explain wine club membership benefits and discounts and ask them if they would like to become a member.

Sales. Assist them with wine and merchandise purchases. This is a sales position and requires asking each guest and member for the sale.
- Performance, commission and schedule is based on sales performance.
- Thank the guests for coming and ask them to return again.
- Perform additional duties such as; stocking wine, setting up the counter, opening bottles, and cleaning as requested by the Tasting Room Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be 21 and older.
- Ability and willingness to work in a standing position for long periods of time, and in the outdoors, during inclement weather.
- Ability and willingness to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Ability and willingness to lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 40-50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Ability and willingness to bend, squat, stoop, and climb stairs on a consistent basis.
- Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly throughout their shift.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Open availability is preferred. More than 4 scheduled shifts a month is required
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work special events (i.e., barrel tastings, wine club events, etc.)
- Experience with wine desirable but not essential
- Positive attitude, good conversational skills and enjoys working with the guests.
- Fluent in English.
