Job Summary :
As a Property Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of residential properties. You will be responsible for performing a variety of janitorial and light maintenance tasks to ensure the property is well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for residents and visitors. Your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness will contribute to creating a positive living or working environment for occupants.
Responsibilities :
Cleaning and Janitorial Duties :
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in common areas, hallways, lobbies, and other high-traffic areas.
Dust and wipe down surfaces, including countertops, handrails, doors, and light fixtures.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas, replacing trash bags as needed.
Exterior Maintenance :
Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas, including sidewalks, walkways, parking lots, and landscaping.
Remove debris, litter, and leaves from outdoor spaces, ensuring a tidy and well-maintained appearance.
Report any exterior maintenance issues, such as broken lights, damaged landscaping, or graffiti, to the property management team.
Assist with snow removal.
Assistance with Preparing Apartments for Move-In Ready Condition :
Prepare vacant units for new occupants, performing basic cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure units are move-in ready.
Safety and Security :
Monitor property premises for any safety hazards or security concerns, such as slippery floors, broken glass, or unauthorized individuals.
Report any safety or security incidents to the property management team immediately for appropriate action.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of safety and security procedures.
Additional Requirements :
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Reliable transportation to and from the property.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
