Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled litigation associate to join our General Liability/Professional Liability practice group in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and oral advocacy skills, substantial experience in discovery, and a solid background in law and motion practice. This role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple clients while handling a high volume of work. Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on resolving legal disputes and determine the most effective strategy.
- Attend court hearings and legal proceedings; conduct legal research and collaborate with senior attorneys to offer legal guidance.
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, and settlement agreements for negotiations and proceedings.
- Communicate effectively with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case management.
- Maintain well-organized files, ensuring all updates are accessible to attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of staff and clients.
- Ability to work closely with partners and attorneys to meet client needs and expand our client base.
- Active member in good standing of the ABA (American Bar Association).
- Successful completion of the bar exam.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- 1850 billable hours.
Compensation:
- Junior Associate (1-4 years): $120K - $160K
- Mid-Level Associate (3-7 years): $150K - $200K
- Senior Associate (6 years): $180K - $215K
- Senior Counsel: $180K - $215K
- Law and Motion (4 years): $130K - $200K
