Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects in the Binghamton, NY area. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and coordination to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
You will play a critical role in achieving customer satisfaction, managing the profitability of assigned projects, and ensuring effective project execution. This position requires a strong background in commercial construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Functions
- Supervise and manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, coordination, and problem-solving to ensure successful project delivery.
- Oversee customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding the expectations of owners, architects, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
- Direct and coordinate the work of staff across corporate divisions, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget, adhering to established company procedures and standards.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and financial forecasts.
- Prepare and distribute payment applications monthly, tracking project costs and preparing cost-to-complete reports.
- Procure and manage labor, materials, and equipment needed for the project.
- Ensure compliance with administrative operating procedures and project documentation requirements.
- Create, update, and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or other project management tools.
- Manage project RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Oversee the project closeout process and ensure proper submission of all final documents.
- Mentor and support Assistant Project Managers and/or Project Engineers assigned to your projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in commercial construction project management, preferably with a focus on wood-frame multi-family projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team of professionals.
- Proficiency in MS Office, PROCOR, and P6/Oracle; experience with comparable programs is also considered.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Knowledge of construction processes, financial management, and project scheduling.

- Vision: Strong eyesight for reviewing blueprints, safety signage, and plans.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
