Our partner, a leading utilities company in the northeastern US is seeking a Designer/Analyst to join their team for a 1 Year contract (potential for extension/conversion to perm). This role is hybrid with 2 days in office per week at out Melville, NY location.
Job Purpose:
The PRE Gas Asset Engineering group is looking for a Designer/ Analyst to support the engineering team in technical drawings updates. The role holder will be assisting the team on updating existing pressure regulating stations drawing and assisting the Business Process Safety team by supporting the development, implementation, and oversight of the company’s Process Safety Management System in New York.
Key Accountabilities:
· Create and update technical drawings using AutoCAD software to accurately depict facilities, equipment, and systems.
· Revise and modify drawings based on feedback received from the engineering team, ensuring that all changes are accurately reflected.
· Perform quality control checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
· Assist in the Maintenance and development of metrics for the Business Process Safety Metric for the Gas Business Unit
· Update the Process Safety PowerBI Dashboard
· Improve the Process Safety SharePoint
· Improve the Risk Assessment Inventory and PSSR Inventory
· Develop a Process Safety Assurance and Management Review Inventory
· Assist with the development and completion of the annual business review when listing quarterly management/periodic assurance reviews
Qualifications:
· Proficiency in CAD software and drafting tools.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and gas codes.
· Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in the industry.
· Good communication and collaboration skills.
· Understanding and Experience in Project Management software and data analysis tools
· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
· Organized and Detail Oriented
· Structured and Clear Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
