We are seeking an experienced environmental specialist to join our team as a Senior Environmental Specialist/Asbestos Investigator.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive asbestos and hazardous substance investigations, documenting findings and making recommendations.
- Collaborate with project managers to oversee asbestos abatement projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement plans for safe and effective remediation, utilizing expertise in architectural and mechanical drawings.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines and working efficiently in various environments.
- Ensure a high level of safety awareness, adhering to protocols and wearing necessary protective gear when handling hazardous substances.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must hold current NYC DEP Asbestos Investigator license and NYS Asbestos Inspector certification.
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrates at least 3 years of experience in asbestos inspections/investigations, understanding relevant state and city regulations.
- Is proficient in common software applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Has obtained OSHA 10-hr. and OSHA 30-hr. Construction Safety certifications.
- Certifications in NYSDOL Project Monitor, Designer, Mold Assessor, and EPA Lead Inspector are advantageous.
- Knowledge of CAD systems is also beneficial.
