Properly moves and spots trailers while operating a motorized vehicle in a safe and correct method as prescribed by company policy. Assists with loading and unloading of trucks when necessary and during idle time.Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards : Local Cartage-All trailer moves will be within a 10-mile radiusOttawa Shag Truck Power Lift for trailer (Minimal cranking)Unload and load palletized and non palletized product.Prepare inventories for storage and intrastate shipping.Load and unload truck with the use of a fork truck or other special handling equipment.Assist in the continued cleanliness of the warehouse, including sweeping mopping, empting trash, and other janitorial duties given to you by your supervisor.Assist in ensuring that PEW equipment is parked in its proper place and shut off.Assist in moving inventory to and from trucks by means of a forkliftWork may include Grounds maintenance, trash pickup, sweeping and other facility upkeep.Drive to and from work sites obeying all traffic safety laws, rules, and regulations.Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.Demonstrates eagerness to learn and assume responsibility; seeks out and accepts increased responsibility; displays a "can do" approach to work.Shows persistence and seeks alternatives when obstacles arise; seeks alternative solutions; does things before being asked or forced to by events.Works within the system in a resourceful manner to accomplish reasonable work goals; shows flexibility in response to process change and adapts to and accommodates new methods and procedures.Accepts direction and feedback from supervisors and follows through appropriately.Works when scheduled; begins and ends work as expected; calls in according to policy when arriving late for work or when absent; observes provisions of Fair Labor Standards Act; observes policies on break and lunch periods; uses work time appropriately.Qualifications and Minimum Experience : Must have a Class A, Commercial Driver License, and be able to drive tractors / trailers 45,000 pounds.
