We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Your expertise in grooming techniques and animal care will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Pet Groomer Position

Commission Structure:

• Starting commission: 40%
• After 3 months: 42%
• After 6 months: 45%
• After 1 year: 50% (Commission increase depends on performance)
• Maximum commission: 50%
• Assistant Manager: 55%
• Manager: 60%

Salary payment

• Paid weekly.

Bonuses are based on weekly sales:

• Sales under $200/day: No bonus.
• Sales $325/day: 1.3% bonus on total sales.
• Sales $550/day: 3.5% bonus on total sales.

Tipping:

• Tips typically account for 10-13% of total sales (paid weekly).
• Example:
• Employee 1: Commission $500, Tips $150, Weekly Bonus $10.
• Employee 2: Commission $450, Tips $150, Weekly Bonus $7.
• Employee 3: Commission $900, Tips $200, Weekly Bonus $20.
• Employee 4: Commisiion $1200, Tips $300, Weekly Bonus $40
• Bonuses are not paid from the commission amount but are based on total daily sales, so the more dogs you groom, the higher your bonus and PTO will be.

The more dogs you groom and the more you improve your grooming skills, the higher your earnings can be!

Duties

• Provide grooming services such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine the appropriate grooming techniques.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and address any concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Safely handle animals using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort during grooming sessions.
• Assist with kennel duties as needed (feeding, exercising, monitoring behavior).
• Stay updated on the latest grooming trends and techniques to continually improve skills and service quality.

Requirements

• Minimum Experience in Pet grooming.
• Ability to work well in team environments.
• Must be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and treating all items in the shop as if they are your own.
• Must have a positive attitude and be able to help others when they are busy or in need.
• Physical strength is needed to handle large and energetic dogs.
• Excellent customer service skills with effective communication with pet owners.
• Experience in pet sitting or dog training is a plus but not required.
• Certification as a veterinary technician or related qualifications is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their health and well-being is essential.
