We are looking for a competent Office Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office tasks. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Handling incoming calls and other communications.
- Organize office and assist associates in ways that optimize procedures
- Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
- Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
- Schedule and plan meetings and appointments
- Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages
- Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues
- Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues
- Perform receptionist duties when needed
- Managing filing system
- Recording information as needed
- Greeting clients and visitors as needed
- Updating paperwork, maintaining documents, and word processing
- Helping organize and maintain office common areas
- Performing general office clerk duties and errands
- Maintaining supply inventory
- Maintaining office equipment as needed
- Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases
Office Assistant Requirements:
Experience as an office assistant or in a related field.
Ability to write clearly and able to use various, common software.
Quickbooks or other major accounting software knowledge is a plus.
Ability to work well under limited supervision.
Common sense in decision-making.
Construction knowledge is a plus but not a requirement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
