Assistant Branch Manager

Summary/Objective

The Assistant Branch Manager will assist with directing and supervising the staff and day-to-day operations in the assigned branch location, ensuring delivery of quality customer service and the achievement of sales or productivity goals.

• Requires at least three years of pool and spa industry experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
• Assist with overseeing staff and fulfilling staffing needs for regular hours and peak times. 
• Maintain communication and motivate a positive sales team.
• Assist with daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensure monies are deposited regularly.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
• Develop, oversee, and maximize retail budget and product inventory, purchasing, and sales.
• Ensure inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks.
• Use company software to research, analyze, and track purchases.
• Ensure that the store always looks clean and inviting.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Proficient in Point-of-Sales related software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Thorough understanding of company policies and practices. 

Supervisory Responsibility

• May hire and train new staff or assist management with this process.
• Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
• As requested by the Branch Manager, conducts, or assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. 
• Assist the Branch Manager with employment actions, including discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. 

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or standing and working on a computer. Must be able to lift-up-to 75 pounds at times.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Based on branch location, work hours are subject to change. Must be flexible to work additional hours, evenings, weekends, and Saturdays during peak season.
