Poolsure, An Aquasol Company, is searching for a Hazmat Delivery Driver to join our team in Maricopa, AZ.
The Hazmat Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting hazardous materials from one place to another in a mini-bulk tanker truck. This position requires strict adherence to safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company, local, state, and federal authorities. The driver must ensure the proper handling, loading, and unloading of hazardous materials to prevent accidents, spills, or other incidents that may pose risks to people, property and the environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport commercial grade chemicals from one location to another.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle and all safety equipment are in proper working condition. Verify and ensure all required permits and paperwork for transporting hazardous materials are in order before departure.
- Strictly adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding traffic laws and the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Utilize appropriate safety equipment including personal protective gear
- Handle hazardous materials with extreme care during the loading and unloading process to prevent spills, leaks, or other incidents.
- Maintain effective communication with dispatchers and management during the transportation process.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork
Requirements/Skills:
- Must possess CDL Class A or B with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- Possess a clean driving record and a history of safe driving practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials is required.
- Ability to handle and respond to emergency situations effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong adherence to safety protocols.
