What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Yoga Instructor position at Pop Life?
Job Overview:
Pop Life is seeking passionate and skilled yoga instructors to join our expanding Mind-Body Connection Department. We are looking for teachers who are not just certified, but deeply committed to their craft—individuals who bring authenticity, energy, and a desire to share the transformative power of yoga with the Cleveland community.
We do not dictate a specific style of yoga. Instead, we seek instructors who teach from the heart, offering meaningful, high-quality classes that inspire growth, connection, and well-being. Whether your practice is rooted in vinyasa, power, restorative, yin, kundalini, or a unique fusion, if you are deeply passionate about what you do, we want to hear from you.
This is a freelance/contract position, with opportunities to lead regular group classes, private sessions, workshops, and specialty events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging, well-structured yoga classes that align with your teaching philosophy and expertise.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for students of all levels, ensuring a positive and transformative experience.
- Provide guidance on alignment, breathwork, and mindfulness, adapting sequences as needed for different abilities.
- Foster community and connection within the studio by engaging with students before and after class.
- Uphold professionalism and reliability in scheduling, communication, and interactions with staff and students.
- Promote classes and workshops through personal engagement and collaboration with Pop Life’s team.
- Encourage personal growth and exploration in students, supporting them in deepening their practice.
- Respect and maintain the studio space, ensuring cleanliness and proper use of provided props and equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 200-hour yoga teacher certification (minimum preferred) from a recognized training program.
- At least two years of teaching at a studio.
- Passionate, knowledgeable, and skilled in your teaching style.
- Ability to inspire and connect with students, creating a meaningful class experience.
- Strong communication skills and an open, welcoming presence.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but new teachers with exceptional skill and passion are encouraged to apply.
