Dishwasher/Busser

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher/Busser to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen and dining areas. You will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized, as well as bussing tables to create a welcoming environment for our guests.

Duties

• Sets up station according to Club policies.
• Maintains cleanliness of entire kitchen including dry storage and walk-in cooler, sweeping & mopping.
• Maintains clean and sanitary conditions in employee restroom, and back-of-the-house employee areas, as well as the dumpster and receiving area.
• Knows how to use the dish washing machine, including set-up and cleaning of machine.
• Understands and complies with proper usage of chemicals and solvents.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and stock all dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, and pans in designated areas.
• Uses proper sanitizing procedures at all times.
• Cleans all major kitchen appliances to include oven, hood filter, braiser, kettle, etc.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Occasionally assists the chef and kitchen team in food preparation, plating and banquet set up.

Job Requirements and Skills:

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to provide effective written and verbal instructions, as well as the ability to carry out details written or verbal instructions independently.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Must have understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to life up to 70 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.

Education and Training:

• Current ServSafe certificate.
• Knowledge of kitchen maintenance operations procedures as would normally be acquired through a high school education or equivalent.
• Food Handler Certification required, or obtain with 3 months of start date.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Working Condition:

• Works primarily indoors in a kitchen maintenance environment. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement hazards, sharp utensils, extremely hot stoves, grills and food, and dangerous chemical/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
• Performs such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping for up to five (5) hours without sitting.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
