Description:
Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic long-term interim fine arts teacher to join our faculty from March 17, 2025, to May 23, 2025. This position will cover visual arts courses including Studio 2, and Honors Ceramics / 3D Studio Art. Additional courses may be assigned based on the candidate’s qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Studio 2, Honors Ceramics / 3D Studio Art and other courses following pre-established lesson plans and assessments.
- Provide student grading, feedback, and classroom management under the guidance of the department chair.
- Supervise a study hall as part of daily responsibilities.
- Lead an advisory group and foster student engagement.
- Participate in school-wide activities, including attending Mass, house meetings, and fulfilling daily faculty duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree (in Fine Arts, Education, or a related field preferred).
- Some teaching experience is preferred, particularly in visual arts.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
