Responsibilities:
- Assist the shelter veterinarian in conducting routine examinations, vaccinations, and medical treatments for shelter animals
- Prepare for and assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative preparations, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care
- Perform and assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, such as urinalysis, blood tests, and laboratory work
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under the direction of veterinarians
- Handle animals with care and compassion during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all animals, ensuring proper documentation of treatments and medications
- Provide information on animal health and care to adopters, foster families, and members of the community
- Monitor the health and behavior of shelter animals, promptly identifying and reporting any signs of illness or distress
- Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of surgical and medical equipment, and maintain a sanitary clinic environment
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and external veterinary professionals to uphold the highest standards of animal care

Requirements:
- Certified Veterinary Technician credential
- Fear Free Certification is a plus!
- Availability on weekends and holidays as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Experience:
- Veterinary Technician: 1 year (Preferred)
