About the Position
We are seeking a qualified professional to fill this full-time position. The Watershed Planner will be responsible for coordinating local water/watershed management planning and implementation efforts. This includes developing outreach and educational programming, participating in watershed planning activities, and representing Pope SWCD in partnerships.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in natural resources, soils, geology, agriculture, geography, planning, information systems, hydrology, public administration, environmental resource management, or a related field. Relevant experience with design and installation of conservation practices is desired.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive local water/watershed management plans
- Coordinating outreach and educational programming
- Participating in watershed planning activities
- Representing Pope SWCD in partnerships
