Description
Popli Design Group (PDG), a growing multi-disciplined Architecture/Engineering firm, is seeking an Accountant II to add to our talented and dedicated team! This individual will perform and help lead firm accounting activities while PDG continues its road to growth and continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Manages Accounts Receivable, including cash receipts, preparation of invoices, and client statements. Interacts with clients’ Accounts Payable staff to secure payment and reduce DSO.
- Assist with the Overall Financial Management of the Firm, including accounting, firm-wide financial planning and budgeting.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the company’s ledger of accounts and financial statements, such as depreciation schedules and corresponding journal entries.
- Assist with the Preparation of all financial reports (CONR, etc.) required by the firm’s public sector clients, including federal, state and local agencies.
- Interacts with PDG Accounts Payable staff to ensure proper handling of incoming invoices.
- Assist in the creation of Project Budgets and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to ensure the appropriate allocation of costs and revenue.
- Proactively reviews the firm’s backlog, Days Sales Outstanding and assist the Senior Executive Team and Department Heads in developing revenue and cash flow projections.
- Undertakes other common accounting activities as needed.
- Payroll experience is a plus.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with current accounting software platforms
- Familiarity with FAR regulations
- A strong understanding of the Architectural and Engineering industries and Public Sector clients is preferred.
- Must be a proactive team player, dependable and able to maintain confidentiality of information.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related curriculum coupled with relevant prior accounting experience.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Professional office environment
- The job requires prolonged periods of sitting at a computer
- Lifting up to 15 lbs. is required

Good faith salary range is provided, and salary package will be commensurate with experience.
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
