Popli Design Group (PDG) is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to join our growing Rochester, NY Bridge Design Department.
The desired individual will assist the management team with the development of CAD practices, software configuration and staff training. The individual will also provide CAD support as needed for bridge design projects in New York State and New York City.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist the management team with the development of CAD practices and software configuration.
- Assist the management team with the evaluation of CAD-related software products and the implementation of new software.
- Provide CAD training to other bridge design staff.
- Perform QA/QC of CAD work products produced by others.
- Develop 3D CAD models for bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects.
- Prepare CAD drawings for bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects.
- Prepare quantity take-offs from CADD models.
- Prepare reinforcing bar detailing for reinforced concrete structures.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Bentley Microstation V8i and Connect.
- Proficiency in Bentley InRoads, Open Roads and Open Bridge.
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Experienced with CAD modelling of highway bridges.
- Experienced with the preparation of CAD drawings for bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects.
- Working knowledge of NYSDOT, NYSTA and NYCDOT CAD standards and procedures.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize as required.
- The ability to communicate with and work effectively with project team members and clients.
Experience/Education
- Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- 10 years of relevant experience.

A good faith salary range is provided, and salary package will be commensurate with experience.
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
