Server/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. You will take orders, handle transactions, and ensure that all areas are clean and well-sanitized. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and the ability to manage time effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
• Operate the POS system, to process transactions efficiently.
• Ensure all food and beverage items are prepared according to our standards.
• Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing tables, counters, and other areas as needed.
• Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes promptly to enhance customer experience.
• Provide assistance to customers with menu selections and answer any questions they may have.
• Handle cash and credit transactions with accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of orders.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage cash drawer effectively.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests.
• Experience in a café or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Basic knowledge of sales techniques and retail math is beneficial.
