Position Summary :
Manages the K-TECH / KAPSTO engineering changes and new product introduction.
This position will actively manage compliance with APQP and change control requirements.
This position will interface with customers and Poppelmann colleagues at PPUSA and PPD to ensure trouble free launches of new products and changes to existing products.
Maintain adherence to requirements of ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 5001 & TISAX that apply to activities performed.
Essential Functions :
- Lead the launch of new programs utilizing PPUSA systems within budget.
- Be the recognized program leader at the customer and internally for all issues prior to PPAP approval.
- Ensure that the BOM is accurately loaded into the MRP system and all production items are identified and approved before SOP
- Utilize Engineering change process to implement changes to BOM after initial loading and SOP.
- Provide sales team with the necessary information to manage within K-TECH / KAPSTO requirements & eliminate cost creep.
- Manage tooling & equipment supplier within K-TECH / KAPSTO requirements, molds / machines meet quality & cycle time standards, delivered on time & within budget.
- Demonstrate each tool / equipment meets the targeted cycle time, scrap rate, part weight, and uptime efficiency through official run-at-rate events.
- Lead corrective actions to resolve any cycle time, scrape rate, part weight & uptime efficiency after SOP, if necessary
- Interface with both production and PPUSA cost optimization projects.
- Lead significant Engineering Changes or major tooling refurbishment projects after SOP.
