What We’re Looking For

We’re on the lookout for a creative and highly organized Social Media Content Creator to join our team in New York. This part-time role, based in our NYC showroom, requires a mix of content creation, social media management, and brand storytelling. You’ll help us craft engaging content that showcases Poppin’s products, blending design and fun to boost our brand presence on Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and more. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you’ll play a key role in how we connect with our community and elevate our online identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to brainstorm and develop creative content strategies that align with our brand’s voice, social media trends, and key marketing campaigns. You’ll also manage and maintain a daily/weekly content calendar to ensure a consistent, dynamic presence online.
• Content Creation: Batch shoot high-quality, visually stunning photos and videos of Poppin’s furniture and office supplies in our New York showroom. Innovate new ways to feature our products, using creative staging and lighting techniques to make them pop.
• Content Editing & Publishing: Edit content with a polished, professional finish using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, or other mobile apps. You’ll be responsible for ensuring everything is on-brand before publishing, creating content that is not only aesthetically appealing but also tells our brand story.
• Social Media Management: Oversee daily social media posts across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and others. Craft attention-grabbing captions and ensure the visual flow of the feed remains consistent.
• Brand Consistency: Maintain the tone, look, and feel of Poppin’s brand across all content. You’ll ensure that every post adheres to our style guide and feels true to our joyful, fun, and functional identity.
• Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, popular hashtags, and viral content. You’ll be responsible for integrating these trends into our content in a way that resonates with our audience while keeping Poppin relevant in the social media landscape.
• Community Engagement: Actively engage with our online followers—respond to comments, answer questions, and nurture our growing online community. You’ll ensure a positive interaction with our brand, helping to increase loyalty and drive customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or related roles
• Strong proficiency with photo and video editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, mobile editing apps, etc.)
• Proven experience in creating visually appealing, on-brand content.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently with excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Passion for social media trends, digital marketing, and a good eye for visual aesthetics.
• Understanding of social media analytics tools and insights is a plus
