Job Description:
Popplers Music is looking to hire an Elementary Specialist in our print music department for our Grand Forks location. The Elementary Specialist is responsible for all customers and products related to the elementary music classroom. To excel in this position, you must have a music background.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work directly with all print music customers to facilitate their orders and provide information; primary contact for Elementary-related questions
· Assist walk-in customers
· Fill and process daily orders and back orders (not limited to Elementary)
· Under the supervision of the Print Music Manager, manage inventory within the Elementary department
· Under the supervision of the Print Music Manager, oversee the Elementary Popplers Clinic; assist with other events
· Pack Elementary materials for road shows; occasionally may be asked to attend special events/conferences
· Submit and receive Elementary-related purchase orders
· Review and evaluate new Elementary products
Schedule:
· 40 hours/week
· M-F 8:30am-5:00pm
· 1 Saturday per month
· One closing shift each week until 7pm
Education/Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree preferred but not required. Preference will be given to individuals who apply with a college degree in music, education, or business.
- Ability to read music.
- Playing/singing experience and sales experience are preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Basic computer skills (office suites).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Professional demeanor.
