The Internal Auditor is responsible for traveling to assigned store locations to conduct internal audits, conducting remote field audits, and for assisting with day-to-day tasks and projects within Populus’s Compliance team.
Major Responsibilities
- Travel to assigned store locations throughout the country and execute the applicable field audit work program(s) to identify issues that may indicate compliance issues.
- On non-travel weeks, conduct remote field audits by requesting documents, calling stores, and executing the applicable field audit work program(s) to identify issues that may indicate compliance issues.
- Prepare reports by entering information based on the audit work and assist in communicating the results to Compliance and Operations leadership.
- Escalate compliance issues, based on audits, to the appropriate department leadership for corrective action.
- Assist in updating the District Manager audit program and monitor results of same.
- Assist with compliance related projects in response to exam issues, exam production, and consumer feedback.
- Assist in executing corporate-based audit programs as assigned.
- Assist in reviewing fraud reports, communicating results to Compliance and Operations leadership, and aid in follow up research as needed.
- Participate in training, including onboarding new District Managers, leadership conference presentations, and compliance boot camp series.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of company products, systems, and compliance controls by state.
- Perform other related duties as requested.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position may require long hours and some weekend work. While working in our stores, your scheduled hours may vary from 10-12 hours.
