Position Overview:
As a Paint Prep Technician, you will play a key role in preparing vehicles for painting by ensuring surfaces are properly prepped, cleaned, and ready for application. This role requires a strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We primarily use water-based paints, so familiarity with this product is a must.

Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly prep vehicles for painting by sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming surfaces
- Prepare and apply primer to surfaces as needed
- Carefully mask areas not being painted to ensure clean lines and avoid overspray
- Work with the team to ensure all jobs meet high standards of quality and safety
- Keep work areas organized and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Assist with light bodywork or touch-ups as needed to ensure surfaces are smooth and ready for painting
- Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and best practices to minimize hazards and ensure compliance
Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Paint Technician or Paint Prep in a similar automotive prep role
- Experience with water-based paints is a significant advantage
- Familiarity with automotive sanding, masking, and surface preparation techniques
- Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean, efficient workspace
- Must be able to lift and move heavy parts and equipment
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
Salary : $26 - $30
