Summer Camp/ESY/COMP ED- Special Ed Resource Teacher

POSITION INFORMATION:

Certified Special Education and Early Childhood Special Education Teachers needed to provide specifically designed instruction, per Extended School Year IEPs or Compensatory Education determination to meet the individual needs of students that may be served in preschool, specialized (self-contained), or intensive resource settings.

This may include instruction in the following areas: academics, supervision, safety monitoring, behavioral support, life-skills support including toileting/diapering/feeding and general hygiene, support with academic and life skills tasks, support with communication, support with social/emotional needs, support for sensory needs, fine and gross motor support and support with with peer interactions or other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification or Early Childhood Special Education Certification.

Ability to commit to all 16 of services without absences plus 1 day of prep/planning and completion of IEP progress reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*16 full days of instruction to students with one day of preparation and completion of progress reports.

Design and provide Specially Designed Instruction per ESY IEP or Compensatory Education determination.

· Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students.

· Perform duties or requirements that are outlined in a student Individual Education Plan (IEP).

· Provides support for activities of daily living such as feeding/toileting.

· Provides supervision for safety and behavioral support.

· Provide designation of tasks and supervision of paraprofessionals as applicable.

· Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Principal/Administrator of Special Programs or supervising principal or summer coordinator.

Rate of Pay:

$30.00 per hour
